and right for the file needed to be deleted, then a delete button will
come out, click the button ,the video file will be deleted. The point
is swiping your finger left and right over the listed file.

video files on GoodPlayer, select the file to be deleted, press the
"Delete" key on your pc,then confirm the file deletion.
#3 How to check uploading progress ?
Chrome browser is suggested for uploading, since Chrome has the uploading progress indicator in the lower left corner.
#4 The application exits during the Wi-Fi uploading, how to fix this issue?
If uploading files by Wi-Fi makes the application exit, change into a different browser client(Chrome,Opera, Safari,Firefox,Internet Explorer) and upload again. Chrome browser is suggested for uploading, since Chrome has the uploading progress indicator in the lower left corner. And Chrome is the most stable browser in the uploading test.
#5 Cannot find the files after uploading, what to do?
After uploading media files by iTunes File Sharing or by Wi-Fi, if the new uploaded files are not in the list, just press the "Reload" button in the toolbar, the new uploaded files will be listed. If still not work, please restart the application. The last resort is to reboot the iOS device one time.
#6 GoodPlayer doesn't seem to resume from last location on any clips?
Need to touch the "Done" button to remember the resume location.
#7 I bought GoodPlayer, but it could not be installed to my iOS device?
This application needs Cortex-A8 or Cortex-A9 CPU for installation and running. For the special iPod Touch 3 8GB model, please double check the CPU requirements.
#8 Why could not upload file to Inbox folder?
Inbox folder is a special system folder, So please do not upload file to Inbox folder, and do not create sub-directory in "Inbox" folder
#9 How to delete folder?
Just same as delete file, ,swipe left/right on the folder to get the "Delete" button, or delete it from iTunes file sharing
#10 Why could not open web page directly?
Now for URL input, the GoodPlayer needs http://192.168.1.10/test.avi like specific streaming media URL, does not open web page in GoodPlayer.
#11 Does "Open in" feature support other applications other than Safari and Mail?
Yes. But it is up to other applications to support this feature also. This feature needs both sides support it.
#12 I bought GoodPlayer, but finds it is not the app what I need, what to do?

#13 How can I play files that are located on a Mac on my local network, without running a steaming server, and without having to copy the file locally first?
It can be done by the HTTP or FTP streaming.
The Mac comes with built-in HTTP and FTP file sharing, so you need no
other streaming server installation. Mac -->System Preferences
-->Sharing---> Web Sharing is for HTTP.
Mac -->System Preferences
-->Sharing---> File Sharing --->Options is for FTP.
After sharing the files from Mac by HTTP/FTP:
1. Input the URL in the GoodPlayer, it can playback. URL example:
http://192.168.1.10/test.avi
ftp://username:[email protected]/test.avi
2. Write a web page with goodplayer:// url scheme, such as
goodplayer://http://192.168.1.10/test.avi
goodplayer://ftp://username:[email protected]/test.avi
Then open the web page from iOS devices, click the goodplayer:// link ,the files will be played back. Please note the FTP comes with password/username.
#14 Why GoodPlayer does not support TV-out/VGA-out on my iOS device?
Since the API limitation, this TV-out feature is for iPad & iPhone 4 & iPod Touch 4 only, please note iPod plugin playing in application does not support TV-out, only native application playing support TV-out, and also please note that iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3 do not support TV/VGA-out feature .

Since the iTunes files sharing does not support folder, so the only
way is uploading files to created folder by Wi-Fi.

3. Use browser from PC/MAC to upload files to the new folder
Note:Chrome is the suggested browser, it is the most stable in the

If you can get a live TV URL, just input it to enjoy it on GoodPlayer.
If the live TV is not available on the Internet, you can build your own live stream. For example, use VLC software to steam out the TV to UDP or RTP streaming, then enjoy it on GoodPlayer by the following URL:
udp://@192.168.1.182
rtp://192.168.1.182
Or created a web page with goodplayer:// URL
goodplayer://udp://@192.168.1.182
goodplayer://rtp://192.168.1.182
Please note the "@" in the UDP steaming URL.

#21 How to use srt/idx/sub subtitle support in GoodPlayer?
During HTTP/SMB streaming, the app will automatically check the app's root folder(the default folder for "iTunes File Sharing" and Wi-Fi sharing file uploading) and the app's Download folder(the default folder for GoodPlayer downloader) for subtitle files.
So please first upload/download the subtitle files to the above 2 folders. If the movie name is filename.avi , the subtitle file name is something like "filename.en.srt" or "filename.fr.srt". If there are more than one subtitle tracks, swipe fingers up/down on playing, to change the subtitle or turn off subtitle on the fly.You can change other subtitle setting in GoodPlayer--->Settings--->Subtitle Setting, you can set subtitle encoding, font size, etc...
1. Just upload the srt/idx/sub subtitle files with the same name but different file extensions to the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch (for local files playback, please upload the subtitle files to the same directory with media files; for network streaming, please upload subtitle file to root folder or Download folder)
2. If the movie name is filename.avi , the subtitle file name is something like "filename.en.srt" or "filename.fr.srt" (or "filename.en.smi","filename.fr.smi"), then play back the avi file , the subtitle will show up
3. idx/sub subtitle files is special ,the filename should be "filename.idx" and "filename.sub"
4 . After the subtitle is okay, you can change other subtitle setting in GoodPlayer --->Settings--->Subtitle Setting, you can set encoding, font size, etc...
Manually subtitle selection supported, click the playback control information button, then click "Select Subtitle". This feature is useful when the automatic subtitle match does not work. For example
some UPnP servers will change the filename strings in the URL, so the automatic subtitle match would not work.

#23 How about HD playback support of GoodPlayer?
For best GoodPlayer performance, please check these settings
(sometimes, a reboot of iDevice will help):
1 Multi Core Decoding to "On"
2 High Quality Mode to "Off"
3 Deinterlacing to "Off"
For performance, Quad Core GPU is already used. The bottleneck is on 2-core CPU for software decoding. So the performance of iPad 3(new iPad) is
nearly same with iPad 2. 1080P mkv is still impossible for iPad 3.
About HD (High Definition) playback support::
For iPad 2/3, part of 720P(1280x720) MKV/H.264/AVC playback supported, please note that not all the 720P MKV/H.264/AVC files can be played smoothly, it depends on the specific video encoding parameters.
For iPad 2/3, 1280x720 RealVideo (RM/RMVB) playback supported
For iPad 1, most of 720P(1280x720) AVI/MPEG-4 playback supported, , please note that not all the 720PAVI/MPEG-4 files can be played smoothly, it depends on the specific video encoding parameters.
For limited file formats such as MP4,M4V and MOV, by iPod plugin(GoodPlayer-->Settings-->Plugin Setting-->iPod, Turn on "iPod"), the 1080P (1920x1080) MP4,M4V and MOV playback supported via iOS devices system hardware acceleration

so the video change to landscape(note that your iPhone/iPad must not
be locked on orientation) , now the video is locked on landscape.
There is only "Lock Landscape", no portrait orientation lock.
Please make sure you do not use iOS system orientation lock. If iOS

Please make sure your mts file is not over 1280x720, for iPad 2, 1280x720 is
the limitation to support.
Only part of 1280x720 mkv/mts/m2ts files can be played back smoothly on iPad 2.
It depends on the mkv video encoding settings. Some 1280x720 mkv/mts/m2ts files
could not be played back smoothly on GoodPlayer with ipad 2.
Besides the AVI/MKV file container information, we need more detailed
media file information (such as video format/audio format/bit rate)to

"Turn on always" for AirPlay Mirroring. For the GoodPlayer 4.0 version,
there are some tv-out resolution options that will affect AirPlay

#41 I have files that could not be played back on iPad 2/new iPad(iPad 3)/iPhone 4S, please help
If you have some files that are with issues for GoodPlayer playback on iPad 2/new iPad (iPad 3)/iPhone 4S, please try to set GoodPlayer->Settings->Multi Core Decoding to "off", and play the issued files again.
For iPad 2/new iPad (iPad 3)/iPhone 4S and future multi core iOS devices, there is an option to disable multi core decoding. GoodPlayer->Settings->Multi Core Decoding. The default is on. When it is on, some video decoding will use multi core concurrently to improve the performance greatly. When it is off, all the decoding only uses single core to get more stability. Please note that it is recommended to set it to on. Only for those media files that have issue with multi core decoding, set it to off.
#42 On iOS 5, how to use the "Open in" feature?
There are some changes in iOS 5. In iOS 5, you need to "long press" the attachment to get the "Open in" menu.
Here an alternative way we found to open mail attachment. The attachment sometimes never gets an "Open in" menu in iPad 2 with iOS 5.
1. Send the file as attachment to Gmail mail box
2. Use the GoodPlayer built-in browser to access the Gmail
(http://mail.google.com) , then download the attachment , play it at last.
#43 Sometimes the downloaded/uploaded files disappeared?
For GoodPlayer 4.0 and iOS 5.0.1+, now the files will remain on device, even in low storage situations. Upgrade to iOS 5.0.1+ is recommended.
Please change Settings->File Manager-> iTunes Sync to "on".
For iTunes/iCloud Sync, we have already given an option to the end users in
the GoodPlayer settings. GoodPlayer->Settings->File Manager->iTunes
Sync, the default is "off" from 3.2 version, when this setting is
"on", the media files uploaded to GoodPlayer will sync with iTunes.
When this setting is "off", the media files in the GoodPlayer will not
sync with iTunes. For the iOS 5, when the setting is "on", the
media files in GoodPlayer will sync with iCloud, when the setting is
"off", the media files in GoodPlayer will not sync with iCloud.
From GoodPlayer 2.3, the option was added to disable iTunes Sync file
backup, this can save a lot of time and disk space when the iOS device
sync with the iTunes.
Please Note: for the first time the iTunes Sync is turned off, the
most safe testing way is to exit the desktop iTunes , and restart the
desktop iTunes , then sync the iOS device with iTunes. It was found
sometimes the iTunes Sync setting does not work immediately, maybe it
has something to do with the cache.

#45 Why are some WMV files without video?
Please note GoodPlayer does not support MSS2 video codec.
Please use free desktop application MediaInfo ( http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/) to get the detailed video codec information and send it to us.Thanks.
MSS2 video codec in .WMV file container is supported by our another player app PowerPlayer 1.6.

it is better than GoodPlayer.
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/powerplayer/id520818788?mt=8
In this site, we list the reason why we develop another player app:

#49 For the media playback, why is there no audio?
GoodPlayer removed 3 audio supports(AC-3(A52), E-AC-3 and TrueHD(MLP)
) from 5.8 version. DTS audio support was removed from GoodPlayer 6.2 version. They are due to patent reasons.
So far, we get no progress on this patent issue.
Please use free desktop application MediaInfo
(http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/) to get the detailed audio and
video codec information.
Only 5.7 or older version supports AC-3. You need back up the older
version in iTunes for getting back to older version. Or else there is
no way to go back to older version.
What's New in Version 5.8
!!! Back up older GoodPlayer version before upgrading, please check
the following update log first!!!
1 Please note: due to patent reasons, the AC-3(A52), E-AC-3 and
TrueHD(MLP) audio supports are removed from this 5.8 version. Please
